YouTube Video Director - Confidential Design-Tech Unicorn
3 Month Contract to Start | 8-10K/Month | US Remote; NY Preferred
Snowball is seeking a YouTube Director to support a leading design and technology platform shaping how teams build, collaborate, and bring ideas to life.
About Our Client
A leading design and technology company with a simple but ambitious mission: to make design more accessible to everyone. Their tools help teams bring ideas to life, from early brainstorming and prototyping to building and refining products in real time.
At their core, they believe design is more than how something looks. It's how it works, how it feels, and how it comes together. Their work sits at the intersection of craft, creativity, and collaboration, helping teams think more clearly, move faster, and build better things together.
They care deeply about the creative community and are constantly evolving, with a culture grounded in curiosity, high standards, and learning from one another.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to help define and scale YouTube storytelling for a company at the center of modern design culture.
This work pushes beyond traditional brand storytelling, exploring craft, creativity, and the evolving role of design in the world. The focus is on translating complex ideas into stories that feel thoughtful, human, and worth watching.
You will own the creative production process end to end, helping shape a growing content ecosystem that reaches beyond the core product and into broader creative conversations. In this role you will be piloting and iterating on repeatable formats with the goal is to create content that not only informs, but inspires how people think about design and creative expression.
This role sits within the client's internal marketing and content team, with Snowball partnering closely to support YouTube strategy, creative development, and long term channel growth.
What You'll Do
  • Lead end to end creative production of long form, YouTube first content from concept through delivery
  • Translate complex ideas, workflows, and creative philosophies into clear, engaging video stories
  • Shape and evolve formats that balance depth, craft, and accessibility for a broad creative audience
  • Partner cross functionally with marketing, product, and brand teams to align storytelling with larger narratives
  • Guide editors and collaborators through feedback cycles to ensure high quality, polished execution
  • Build and refine production workflows that support consistency, speed, and scalability
  • Use performance insights and audience signals to iterate on formats and improve over time
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience as a producer, filmmaker, or digital content creator with a strong storytelling portfolio
  • Experience directing YouTube native, long form content with a clear understanding of pacing, retention, and audience engagement
  • A strong point of view on storytelling, with the ability to make complex or technical subjects feel intuitive and compelling
  • Expertise working with creative or technical audiences such as designers, developers, or product teams
  • Experience owning the full creative production lifecycle, from early concept through final delivery
  • A systems oriented mindset, you think about how to scale what works, not just make one great video
  • A collaborative, low ego approach and a genuine curiosity for how people create, think, and work
  • Bonus: Experience working with SaaS, design tools, or technology brands; A deep love for design.
Our Values
  • Work hard, learn harder
  • Be effectively proactive
  • Overdeliver for clients
  • Be kind by being clear
  • A+ players only
