What are Remote YouTube Viewers?

Remote YouTube Viewers are individuals who are hired to watch YouTube videos from their own location, often to increase view counts or to provide feedback on content. This role may involve watching videos according to specific instructions, such as watching the entire video or interacting with content. Some companies or creators use remote viewers to boost engagement metrics or test the appeal of new videos. However, viewers should be aware that artificially inflating views can violate YouTube's terms of service. It's important to ensure that any tasks align with legal and ethical guidelines.

As a Remote Youtube Viewer, your daily responsibilities often include watching assigned videos, taking detailed notes, and providing feedback according to specific guidelines. You may also be tasked with categorizing content, flagging inappropriate material, or participating in surveys about video quality or relevance. Performance is typically measured by the number of videos reviewed, the accuracy and thoroughness of your feedback, and adherence to deadlines. Collaboration with a remote team may occur via chat platforms or project management tools, but much of the work is independent and self-paced.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Youtube Viewer, and why are they important?

There are no formal core skills or qualifications required to be a Remote Youtube Viewer, as this is not recognized as a professional occupation in the workforce. No technical tools, certifications, or specialized systems are typically associated with this activity. While attention to detail and the ability to follow viewing instructions could be beneficial, soft skills are not formally evaluated for this role. These skills are not relevant to traditional employment standards, as watching YouTube videos remotely does not constitute a professional job.

Job description

Creative Strategist, YouTube (Long-Form)
We're building the best YouTube agency in the world.
We've assembled a crazy-talented group of YouTube minds who've collectively generated over 110 billion views and helped shape how the platform works today. Our founder, Ryan Hashemi, built Jubilee to 14 million subscribers, has 4 Emmy nominations, and even trained the person who now runs MrBeast's studio. Our team comes from places like WIRED, Vogue, Mini Katana (18M+ subs), and other iconic YouTube brands. (Learn more about Ryan's journey here!)
Now we're helping the world's biggest brands crack the code on YouTube and make content that people actually want to watch at scale.
Why This is Exciting
Just a year in, and the numbers speak for themselves. We launched a brand-new YouTube channel for a global tech-security company less than 30 days ago-two videos are already on track to hit 1 million views each, and the channel has gained nearly 30,000 subscribers. Our fourth video for a "boring" HR SaaS company just crossed 1 million views. And we're just getting started.
After stepping down from Jubilee, Ryan is betting everything on Snowball. That bet is already paying off in a big way. Major brands are coming to us because they know YouTube is the next frontier-they just need the right team to help them conquer it.
That's where you come in.
We're looking for a Creative Strategist to help us concept and shape long-form content for some seriously exciting brands and companies.
What You'll Do
  • Develop and pitch YouTube-native formats, series ideas, and one-off content concepts
  • Guide producers with strong story instincts-reviewing outlines, shaping narratives, and giving clear notes
  • Craft compelling title and thumbnail strategies that drive clicks and deliver on the promise
  • Obsess over YouTube, spot trends, bring fresh creative POVs to the table, and help elevate the overall work
  • Collaborate across strategy, production, and post production to make content that earns real engagement
Who You Are
  • 2-4+ years experience working on non-fiction, non-kids YouTube channels (at a media company, brand, agency, or creator side)
  • You've got a production or creative strategy background and a sharp eye for what makes a great YouTube Video.
  • You understand how to think in thumbnails, write clickable titles, and develop repeatable formats
  • You're creative, collaborative, curious-and hungry to grow
What We Offer
  • Health & vision benefits
  • Remote-first with flexible hybrid options
  • Ground-floor opportunity at a fast-growing creative company
  • Direct mentorship from industry-leading creatives and co-founders
  • A+ team culture rooted in clarity, creativity, and overdelivering for clients
Our Values
  • Work hard, learn harder
  • Be effectively proactive
  • Overdeliver for clients
  • Be kind by being clear
  • A+ players only
How to Apply
Resumes are cool, but we'd love to see something that shows us who you are. A portfolio, a Loom, a deck, a note. Tell us what makes you qualified to help build the future of YouTube with us.
Location: Remote (U.S. based preferred)
Comp: $110K-$140K USD base salary
