About RIVUS
RIVUS Consulting LLC is currently seeking a part time (PT) Proposal Writer-Intern to augment our team. RIVUS is an established small business that provides engineering, environmental, and technology consulting services to a wide range of clients. Our core capabilities include infrastructure engineering, site engineering, water/wastewater engineering, stormwater management, environmental permitting, and program/construction management. Our engineers, planners, GIS/IT professionals, landscape architects, inspectors, and construction managers provide sustainable solutions for federal, state and municipal clients.
About The Role
The Part-Time Proposal Writer Intern will support the preparation of technical and marketing proposals to federal, state, and local government agencies. This position offers hands-on experience in government proposal development, technical writing, marketing communications, and business development. Training and mentorship will be provided.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with proposal preparation, editing, and formatting.
  • Coordinate resumes, project descriptions, and qualifications packages.
  • Support compliance reviews of RFPs, RFQs, and task order solicitations.
  • Assist with marketing materials, capability statements, and presentations.
  • Maintain proposal databases and document libraries.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Senior-level undergraduate, graduate student, or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Business, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization.
  • Proficiency in Adobe PDF Writer, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Graphic software skills e.g. Canva a plus.
