Work Environment

This role is completely remote, enabling you to work flexibly from your home environment. You will join a dedicated team of therapists who leverage technology to enhance patient engagement and accessibility. The position offers a full caseload that can be established within approximately 14 days, minimizing wait times for both therapists and clients, and allowing for immediate impact in your practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual counseling sessions with clients through secure video calls to foster improvement in their mental health.
• Encourage open dialogue, allowing clients to express their emotions and experiences to build self-awareness and understanding of their relationships.
• Advocate for clients by helping them identify personal goals while supporting their journey towards achieving these objectives.
• Assess clients’ mental health conditions and develop tailored treatment plans using a solution-focused approach grounded in your clinical expertise.
• Utilize our therapist portal for accessing resources and tools tailored to your specialty and state requirements, ensuring you’re equipped to deliver quality care.
• Collaborate with our intake team to assess referrals and match clients with your areas of expertise, streamlining your schedule with consistent appointments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At DoCare Counseling Center, we serve a diverse client population characterized by individuals who are stable and low-acuity. All clients are prescreened to ensure that you work with those who can benefit most from telehealth services. This focus allows you to concentrate your therapeutic efforts on constructive engagement and meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
• Possession of an active independent license in one of the following areas is essential: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Limited or provisional licenses are not accepted.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to client care are critical.
• Proficiency in using technology and software relevant to telehealth therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with solution-focused therapy and an understanding of the unique challenges faced by clients in a remote counseling setting.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
