Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients’ presenting issues, backgrounds, and personalized treatment goals.
• Offer individual, couples, and family therapy using evidence-based interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and narrative therapy.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, continually adjusting strategies based on client feedback and progress.
• Engage in regular collaboration with clients, ensuring they feel empowered and included in their treatment processes.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Commit to ongoing professional development, ensuring you stay informed of the latest research and best practices in clinical social work.
• Establish and nurture strong therapeutic alliances with clients, creating a safe space for honesty, growth, and healing.
• Provide practical guidance and emotional support to help clients navigate their life challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at our detox center, you will primarily work with individuals facing substance use challenges. Clients will vary in age and background, each requiring a unique therapeutic approach. You will play a pivotal role in creating strategies that promote not only recovery but also emotional resilience and long-term well-being.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Must hold an active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in the state of Connecticut.
• Experience: A minimum of two years working in a clinical setting, with a preference for candidates who have experience in private practice or substance use treatment.
• Skills: Strong clinical competencies in assessment, treatment planning, and the execution of interventions that yield positive client outcomes.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, alongside a deep sense of empathy and strong interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a detox or rehabilitation setting, particularly with individuals struggling with addiction.
• Familiarity with digital therapy tools and remote client management platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a remote work environment, self-motivating and effectively managing time and resources.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
