HRIS Analyst (Dayforce)
6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Fully Remote
We are seeking an experienced HRIS Analyst to administer, support, and optimize the Dayforce HCM platform. This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and business stakeholders to ensure system configurations support organizational needs, compliance requirements, and an efficient employee experience.
The ideal candidate will bring strong Dayforce configuration experience, including workforce management, payroll, benefits administration, and support of unionized work environments. Experience with Dayforce Learning and Performance modules is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Dayforce Administration & Configuration

  • Configure, maintain, and support Dayforce HCM modules and functionality.
  • Manage entitlement policies, pay policies, workflows, earning and deduction codes, schedules, security roles, and workforce management configurations.
  • Maintain employee data structures, organizational hierarchies, jobs, positions, and departments.
  • Support system upgrades, enhancements, testing, and deployments.
  • Workforce Management & Union Support
  • Configure and maintain union-specific pay rules, work rules, overtime calculations, premiums, shifts, and entitlement policies.
  • Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements through effective system configuration.
  • Research and resolve payroll and timekeeping issues.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, and Labor Relations teams to support workforce management processes.

Benefits Administration

  • Configure and maintain benefit plans, eligibility rules, enrollment events, and deductions.
  • Support open enrollment activities and testing.
  • Troubleshoot benefits-related issues and coordinate with vendors when needed.
  • Ensure accurate integration of benefits data with external providers.
  • Learning & Performance Management

Support Learning Management and Performance Management modules.

  • Assist with course assignments, learning plans, certifications, and performance review processes.
  • Partner with users and managers to resolve system-related issues and improve processes.
  • Reporting, Testing & Process Improvement
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis.
  • Perform data audits and reconciliation activities to ensure data integrity.
  • Conduct system testing, including UAT, integration, and regression testing.
  • Document business requirements, configurations, and testing results.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, system functionality, and data quality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of HRIS experience, including at least 3 years supporting and configuring Dayforce HCM.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Entitlement Policies
    • Pay Policies
    • Workflows
    • Benefits Administration
  • Experience supporting unionized work environments.
  • Strong understanding of payroll, timekeeping, and workforce management processes.
  • Experience developing reports and analyzing HR data.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Dayforce Learning and Performance modules.
  • Experience with HR, payroll, benefits, and workforce management integrations.
  • Participation in Dayforce implementations, upgrades, or enhancement projects.
  • Experience within manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or other unionized environments.
