In this role, you will serve as a strategic talent advisor, partnering with hiring leaders and HR Business Partners to develop and execute recruitment strategies that attract top nursing talent. You'll play a critical role in supporting the workforce needs of one of the region's leading healthcare systems while helping candidates find opportunities to grow their careers and make a difference in the communities we serve.
What You'll Do
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will manage the full recruitment lifecycle for nursing and clinical positions within assigned business areas. You'll work closely with leaders to understand workforce needs, develop sourcing strategies, and create positive candidate experiences from first contact through offer acceptance.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Partnering with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand current and future hiring needs.
  • Developing and executing recruitment strategies for high-volume, specialized, and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Proactively sourcing candidates through networking, talent pipelines, referrals, social media, and other recruitment channels.
  • Screening, interviewing, and evaluating candidates to identify the best fit for the organization.
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to leaders on recruitment trends, labor market conditions, and talent acquisition best practices.
  • Building and maintaining talent pipelines for current and future workforce needs.
  • Participating in recruitment events, career fairs, nursing school partnerships, and other talent attraction activities.
  • Leading or participating in recruitment projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring an exceptional experience for candidates and hiring leaders throughout the recruitment process.

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is relationship-focused, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They are comfortable managing multiple priorities while developing creative solutions to attract top healthcare talent.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
Experience
  • Two years of Human Resources experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or four years of equivalent experience with a High School Diploma or GED required
  • Nurse Recruitment experience strongly preferred
  • Experience recruiting in healthcare environments preferred
  • Experience managing multiple requisitions and competing priorities preferred

Work Environment
This position is primarily remote. Team members must maintain a professional, distraction-free workspace and have access to a stable and secure internet connection to effectively perform their responsibilities.
While the role is remote, occasional onsite attendance is required for recruitment events, hiring initiatives, leadership meetings, and community outreach activities. These events may occur during weekdays, evenings, or weekends based on business needs.
Candidates must reside within the Hampton Roads, Virginia area and be available to attend onsite events as needed.
