Join Penguin Random House as an SAP ABAP Senior Developer and play a key role in shaping the technology that powers the future of reading. As a key contributor within our technology organization, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality SAP ABAP solutions across ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA environments. This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for someone who thrives in coding, problem-solving, and collaborating across cross-functional teams.
We are specifically looking for candidates who:
  • Have 10 - 15 years of recent and relevant experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • Have a deep understanding of SAP ECC 6.0 and AR, AP, SD, FI, and MM modules.
  • Have experience designing and implementing ABAP solutions in S/4HANA environment.
  • Are primarily software developers with a strong focus on coding and technical implementation.
  • Are problem-solvers and team players with the ability to design, develop, and maintain high-quality technology solutions with cross-functional teams.
  • Understand the overall business process of any of the core modules and demonstrate the understanding using examples.

We are not seeking candidates who:
  • Are primarily SAP consultants or analysts without a strong focus on hands-on software development.
  • Have limited or no recent experience in SAP ABAP development.
  • Have only worked with S/4 HANA.
  • Have not worked on SAP ECC in the last 4 to 5 years.
  • Are looking for a primarily consulting or advisory role.

The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
