Job Summary:

As a System/Site Designer you will be responsible for leading and developing the entirety of various projects. Including the start of early concept, through design development and site layout.

Job Duties: 

  • Use Revit software to develop designs for use by customers, certification agencies, local jurisdictions, and internal operations departments
  • Produce 2D and 3D project site drawings and renderings using advanced computer programs such as BIM (Building Information Management), AutoCAD, and cloud-based technologies
  • Analyze drawings to determine material schedules, equipment schedules, and material take offs required to build a designed project
  • Work from technical specifications, customer and internal drawings, hand sketches, scanned images, Google Earth, government drawings and or general specifications
  • Consult with clients to determine their requirements 
  • Support the Sales team in producing professional drawing packets of bids and proposals for use
  • Support the Engineering team in producing submittal packets for certifications and permitting
  • Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
  • Self-check and ensure work for completeness, accuracy, compliance to standards and manufacturability
  • Serve as a working point on Revit setup and standards for templates, families, shared parameters, annotation standards
  • Help evaluate and implement workflow improvements that support broader documentation standards work
  • Partner with the design leads on content/library management
  • Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies
  • Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time

Qualifications

  • Familiar with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical design
  • Experience using Autodesk products; Revit, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D
  • 3-5 years of relevant design/drafting experience, including exposure to Revit standards, templates, or firm-wide content management
  • Associates degree from an accredited CAD training program, preferred but not required
  • Must have ability to interpret specifications, recommend design improvements, and company safety policies
  • Car wash or adjacent industry experience is a plus but explicitly not required and will be trained

 Physical Requirements: 

  • Must stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull or do fine manipulations
  • Required to stand or sit for prolonged periods
  • Intermittently lift light to medium weight up to 75 lbs
  • May perform duties requiring employee to intermittently bend and twist
