The Role at NFP

The Account Coordinator is a key support role within the Personal Risk Service Center, assisting Account Managers and Account Executives with a wide range of administrative, processing, and workflow-driven activities. This position supports the servicing of client accounts through accurate documentation management, policy processing, carrier coordination, follow-up activities, and various operational support functions. The Account Coordinator helps ensure the timely completion of service requests and/or documents that contributes to the overall efficiency of the service team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Account Servicing

  • Support Account Managers with policy servicing and processing activities.
  • Prepare and process endorsements, certificates, ID cards, binders, cancellations and assist with agency-billed transactions by preparing supporting documentation.
  • Follow up with Carriers and Account Managers regarding outstanding documentation and servicing requests.
  • Maintain accurate client records and activities within EPIC.
  • Review incoming documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Manage suspense items and workflow follow-up activities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to facilitate timely completion of service-related requests.
  • Assist with various operational support functions related to account servicing, workflow management, documentation review and internal processing activities.
  • Support special projects and departmental initiatives.
  • Perform additional administrative and processing responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of insurance, customer service, administrative support, or processing experience preferred.
  • Insurance agency, brokerage, or service center experience preferred.
  • Experience with agency management systems such as EPIC is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow established workflows and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Commitment to accuracy, quality, and client service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Property & Casualty License or willingness to obtain licensing where required.

The base salary range for this position is $32,000 – $45,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
