The Conscious Mind Health Clinic is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor. This role will require a keen understanding of diverse mental health needs, delivered remotely within a hospice setting. Our interdisciplinary team of licensed therapists collaborates closely with medical professionals to deliver exceptional care tailored to the unique needs of our patients.

This full-time position allows for a unique blend of remote work, enabling you to provide vital support from the comfort of your own setting while being part of a collaborative environment with hospice staff via digital communication. Although primarily remote, your engagement will include scheduled virtual meetings and teamwork with other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care. Flexibility in availability for occasional evening sessions or peak times may be required.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to gauge the mental health needs of patients, tailoring treatment plans that align with their unique circumstances.
• Facilitate individual counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic methods, addressing a spectrum of mental health issues, from grief reactions to anxiety disorders, relevant to hospice care.
• Develop and lead therapy groups and workshops that foster patient engagement and well-being, such as grief support groups and mindfulness workshops.
• Collaborate seamlessly with diverse hospital departments, including nursing, social services, and chaplaincy, ensuring integrated patient care that addresses both emotional and medical needs.
• Engage in outreach efforts and preventive initiatives, including mental health awareness campaigns within the hospice community, to cultivate understanding and reduce stigma.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records while adhering to ethical and legal standards, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.

You will work with patients primarily in hospice care, focusing on those coping with grief, end-of-life issues, and the emotional impacts associated with terminal illnesses. Our patient population may include individuals of varied ages and backgrounds, each facing unique challenges. Your expertise will play a critical role in helping them attain a measure of peace, understanding, and acceptance during their final life stages.

• Required active license: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• Possess a Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Exhibit a thorough understanding of the complex mental health needs prevalent among hospice patients.
• Showcase excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with patients and collaborate successfully within a diverse healthcare team.
• Demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices tailored to the hospice setting, with an emphasis on brief therapy models.
• Capable of functioning efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing a diverse caseload and prioritizing tasks effectively.

• Previous experience working in hospice, palliative care, or similar settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with grief counseling interventions and terminal illness impact on mental health.
• Experience utilizing telehealth technologies to deliver counseling sessions.

• Annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
