The Roleย 

We are looking to hire an experienced Product Support Engineer toย provide technical support forย customersย who useย ourย Proofpoint AI Security solutions. This is a customer facing role and as a core function, you willย be requiredย to respond to customer tickets andย assistย customers via phone, email, and chat and resolve technical support issues in this product area. This may include installing software that is related to the product or the Operating System (OS) that the customer is using, diagnosing networking issues, Installation/Upgrades, other related issues.ย 

To ensure success as a product support engineer, you should have in-depth knowledge of IT systems,ย network security,ย excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and be a team player.ย 

Responsibilities:ย 

  • Responding to technical support ticket and providing remote support to customersย 
  • Working with customers to findย diagnoseย and resolve technical issues within specific response guidelines.ย 
  • Manage product escalations, function as a liaison between customers, and various levels of product engineering.ย 
  • Installing/Upgrading software related to this product area.ย 
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting the ticket issues that can be related to software, networking, and hardware.ย 
  • Documenting work in the ticketing system (Salesforce experience preferred)ย 

Requirements for the role:โ€ฏย 

  • 10+ย yearsย work experience as a Technical Support Engineerย ย 
  • 10+ย yearsย work experience withย network securityย or endpoint securityย ย 
  • Knowledge of networking systems,ย identity providers, x509 certificates, Linux security tools, KMS,ย cloud environmentsย 
  • Knowledge ofย AI,ย MCPย andย APIย Gateways is a plusย 
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues.ย 
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing)ย 
  • Fast thinkerย 
  • Technical diagnostic skillsย 
  • Good people skillsย 
  • Expert in Mac and Windowsย

Base Pay Range: 136,200.00 - 214,005.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 112,700.00 - 177,100.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 101,600.00 - 159,720.00 USD
