Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Draper, UT that is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support a complex enterprise network infrastructure spanning multiple locations and supporting a large user base. This role is responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless environments.
Summary:
This individual will play a key role in shaping scalable network architecture, supporting business continuity, and maintaining high availability across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in networking technologies, combined with the ability to manage priorities, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate across teams. This position requires an onsite presence in Salt Lake City five days per week at the start to support hands-on infrastructure work and cross-team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless environments
* Establish and enforce network standards, configurations, and best practices across the organization
* Configure, troubleshoot, and support network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls
* Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to maximize uptime and reliability
* Support and troubleshoot Voice over IP (VoIP) systems, including Cisco CUCM environments
* Design and implement scalable network solutions, including SD-WAN and secure access technologies
* Provide support for wireless environments, including access points and enterprise devices (laptops, handhelds, printers, and other connected devices)
* Collaborate with security teams to enforce network security policies, manage access controls, and ensure timely patching and upgrades
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
* 5+ years of experience in network engineering or a related role
* Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
* Experience configuring and supporting routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks (Cisco preferred)
* Experience supporting VoIP systems, preferably Cisco CUCM
* Knowledge of network security concepts and technologies
* Experience working with Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 networking concepts (OSI model)
* Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
* CCNA or similar networking certification
* 1+ years of experience in network security
* Experience with SD-WAN technologies
* Experience with Conditional Access or identity-based network security controls
* Familiarity with DOT1x authentication

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
