Search & Comparison IntentPeople comparing remote cleaning jobs or virtual rolesPeople seeking physical window cleaning jobs

Remote Window Cleaners typically handle scheduling, customer support, and consultation remotely, while On-site Window Cleaners perform the actual cleaning at physical locations. Both roles may require similar certifications, but their work environments differ significantly, with remote roles focusing on virtual tasks and on-site roles involving physical labor.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Window Cleaner, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Window Cleaner, you need strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and experience with commercial or residential cleaning, often supported by a valid driver's license and basic safety training. Familiarity with window cleaning tools such as water-fed poles, squeegees, extension ladders, and sometimes the use of specialized equipment or cleaning solutions is typical. Excellent customer service, reliability, and time management are key soft skills to build client trust and ensure efficient job completion. These skills and qualities are crucial for delivering high-quality results, maintaining safety standards, and fostering repeat business in a competitive cleaning industry.

How much does a residential window cleaner make?

A residential window cleaner typically earns between $12 and $25 per hour, with annual salaries ranging from approximately $25,000 to $50,000 depending on experience, location, and the number of clients served. Many window cleaners are paid on a per-job basis or hourly, and experience with tools like squeegees and safety equipment can influence earnings.

What are remote window cleaners?

Remote window cleaners are professionals who clean windows on buildings, homes, or commercial properties without being physically present at the location. They typically use specialized equipment, such as robotic window cleaning devices or remotely operated machinery, to perform the cleaning tasks from a distance. This approach enhances safety by reducing the need for workers to be on scaffolding or ladders, especially on high-rise buildings. Remote window cleaning can also improve efficiency and reach difficult or hazardous areas that would be challenging for traditional cleaners.

How much do window cleaners get paid per house?

Window cleaners typically earn between $10 and $25 per window or $50 to $150 per house, depending on the size, complexity, and location. Rates can vary based on experience, tools used, and whether the work is residential or commercial.

Do robot window cleaners do a good job?

Robot window cleaners can effectively clean smooth glass surfaces and are often used for routine maintenance. However, their performance may vary depending on window size, shape, and accessibility, and they may require manual intervention for complex or heavily soiled areas. They are generally suitable for standard windows but may not replace professional cleaning for detailed or high-risk tasks.

What are some common challenges remote window cleaners face, and how can they be addressed?

Remote window cleaners often encounter challenges such as coordinating schedules with clients, ensuring access to buildings, and managing safety protocols without direct on-site supervision. To address these, clear communication with clients and property managers is crucial, as is using digital tools for scheduling and progress tracking. Additionally, staying updated with safety training and remote monitoring technologies can help ensure jobs are completed efficiently and safely.

About Sparkle Squad
Sparkle Squad of Miami is a premier exterior services provider specializing in high-quality commercial and residential window cleaning, pressure washing, gutter maintenance, and custom seasonal holiday lighting. We are scaling our commercial portfolio across Miami-Dade and are seeking independent, motivated Business Development Representatives to connect with local businesses and property managers.
How the Job Works
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position focused entirely on commercial lead generation and client acquisition. It is a 100% remote, performance-based role, making it an ideal opportunity for self-starters, local networkers, and individuals seeking a high-side income with total schedule autonomy. You are your own boss-you decide how, when, and where you network to bring in new commercial clients.
Schedule & Availability Requirements
  • Schedule: Set your own hours. You manage your own schedule and pipeline based on your personal availability.
  • Location: Remote, but candidates must reside in the Miami-Dade area to effectively target and understand the local commercial market.

Compensation & Commission StructureThis role is entirely performance-based, meaning your financial rewards are a direct reflection of your results. First-year commission sales can reach up to $50,000 for a highly motivated hunter, with future years offering unlimited upside as there is no limit to your commission potential.
  • Net Profit Calculation: Earnings are structured around net profit, defined as: Client payment minus direct operating costs (labor, supplies, transportation).
  • Competitive Initial Commissions: Receive a strong payout for every newly closed commercial client contract.
  • Recurring Residual Commissions: Build a long-term portfolio with ongoing recurring commissions for active clients under contract.

What You'll Do
  • Initiate communication, build relationships, and secure exterior service contracts with commercial entities, property management groups, HOA boards, and local business owners.
  • Identify and pitch prospective accounts via cold calling, digital networking, or local B2B field prospecting.
  • Actively generate new leads and build relationships with key decision-makers to secure commercial service contracts.
  • Introduce Sparkle Squad's specialized commercial solutions, including commercial window cleaning, pressure washing, and building exteriors.
  • Act as the independent bridge between local Miami businesses and our operational team.

Position Requirements
  • Location: Must live in the Miami-Dade area (e.g., Miami, Doral, Coral Gables, Kendall, etc.).
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and comfort with a performance-driven compensation structure.
  • Background & References: Must be willing to clear a standard contractor background check and provide two (2) references.
  • Language: Fluent English is required; bilingual Spanish skills are highly preferred.
  • Smartphone & Tech: Must own a smartphone and computer/tablet with reliable internet access to manage your outreach.
  • No prior commercial sales experience is required-if you have high energy, a great work ethic, and are comfortable talking to business owners, we will provide the brand guidelines and pricing models you need to succeed!

Perks & Benefits
  • Performance-Based Independence: Enjoy uncapped earning potential with highly competitive commissions on closed commercial accounts.
  • True Schedule Freedom: Perfect for professionals managing a current real estate book, students studying business/marketing, or independent contract workers.
  • Streamlined Support: We provide clear corporate pricing structures, marketing materials, and fast operational decision-making so you can close deals quickly.
  • Strong Operational Backing: You focus on the relationship; our professional technician crews handle 100% of the physical labor and service delivery.

This is a remote position.
Compensation: $1.00 - $50,000.00 per year
Sparkle Squad is growing and looking for positive people who enjoy the outdoors to join our team!
Our professional team cleans more than hundreds of residential homes and dozens of commercial properties each year. We love what we do, and it shows in every window we clean. We are the Cleaner, Safer, Better, window cleaning company.
