Midstates is building the future of agricultural finance and we're looking for driven, relationship-focused, experienced Agricultural Loan Officers to help us lead the transformation. In this role, you will grow and manage a high-quality loan portfolio, represent our innovative lending solutions, and support farmers with the capital they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Expand regional presence by generating new loan opportunities.
  • Introduce farmers and ag businesses to our technology-driven financial products.
  • Explain how our digital tools create a faster, more transparent lending experience.
  • Maintain consistent communication with farmers, ag retailers, bankers, and other referral partners.
  • Strengthen long-term relationships that drive loan volume and customer success.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure fast, accurate loan processing.
  • Provide an exceptional borrower experience from application through closing.
  • Assist with portfolio management and collections.
  • Ensure all activity aligns with risk guidelines and internal policies.
  • Partner cross-functionally on sales strategies and product adoption.
  • Contribute to pipeline coordination and overall business goals.
  • Meet and exceed growth targets through proactive outreach and relationship development.

Skills

  • Agriculture Lending Experience: Strong working knowledge of farming or agribusiness, with proven business development or sales experience. Able to source their own business through their own networks.
  • Credit & Underwriting: 1–3 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or related financial work. Basic understanding of loan structure, products, and calculations associated with loan application through funding and post closing.
  • Relationship Builder: Skilled at developing trust with clients, partners, and teammates.
  • Tech-Comfortable: Able to use and explain digital tools, online applications, and data-driven products.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-motivated, organized, and motivated by goals and growth.
