Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments for new patients to understand their mental health status, complete with the necessary diagnostic criteria.
  • Develop, implement, and adapt individualized therapy plans based on client needs, using evidence-based practices.
  • Hold regular therapy sessions, both individual and group, ensuring clients are equipped with practical tools and strategies for managing their mental health challenges.
  • Facilitate referrals to other health professionals when necessary, such as psychiatrists for medication management or additional support services.
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate, organized medical histories.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through training programs and peer consultation to enhance therapeutic techniques and cultural competence.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you'll work with encompass a diverse spectrum of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to substance use disorders and eating disorders. Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
  • A current and valid licensure, including but not limited to LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW within the state of Kansas.
  • A minimum of four years of clinical experience providing therapy to individuals dealing with various mental health issues.
  • Proven knowledge of mental health disorders and a strong grasp of evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions using culturally appropriate methods.
