Position Overview

Are you a passionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor looking to make a meaningful impact in the mental health field? The Wellbeing Counseling Center is seeking a committed LPCC to join our dynamic team. This full-time, remote position offers the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and help them lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

About the Organization

The Wellbeing Counseling Center, based in Los Angeles, California, is on a mission to transform mental health care by unifying mental and physical healthcare services. We aim to provide personalized, accessible, and affordable mental health solutions to everyone, everywhere, every day. Our approach is grounded in compassion, professionalism, and teamwork, making us a leader in the behavioral health sector.

Work Environment

This role is set within the framework of a community health clinic, where mental health and wellness are prioritized. The remote work setting allows you to manage your schedule flexibly, maintaining a balance between work and personal commitments. You will collaborate virtually with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective communication and an integrative approach to client care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks, including:

  • Conducting thorough assessments to determine patient needs and designing tailored counseling strategies.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors, healthcare teams, and families to report on patient progress and adjustments in treatment plans.
  • Preparing and managing a tentative schedule of patient appointments and home visits to ensure optimal care delivery.
  • Coordinating home visits in compliance with in-home observation protocols, including reviewing patient charts and analyzing data.
  • Ensuring the effective implementation of treatment programs and making necessary adjustments based on feedback and observed outcomes.
  • Participating actively in Interdisciplinary Team Meetings to contribute insights and collaborate effectively on individual patient plans.
  • Completing monthly and quarterly progress notes to document patient developments and ensure continuity of care.
  • Organizing training sessions to certify that staff and team members are trained and competent in program plan implementations.
  • Providing follow-up support through interviews and home visits to help individuals navigate their ongoing challenges.
  • Maintaining meticulous records to ensure compliance and availability of information for stakeholders.
  • Acting as a liaison between the clinic, the public, and the mental health community to foster collaboration and support organizational goals.
  • Assisting in the development of training materials to enhance the effectiveness of our counseling programs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position involves direct engagement with a varied population, including adults of all ages and youth, many of whom may face unique challenges such as trauma, substance misuse, and relationship difficulties. Your efforts will contribute directly to improving their mental health outcomes and overall well-being.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) within the state of California.
  • At least two years of professional counseling experience, preferably within clinical settings.
  • A solid understanding of ethical and legal standards governing mental health practice.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and establish empathetic, trusting relationships.
  • Experience collaborating within interdisciplinary teams in a healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and associated technologies for effective documentation and patient management.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse are highly desirable. Such expertise can enhance our service delivery and foster more effective therapeutic relationships.

Compensation and Benefits

The Wellbeing Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload. We understand the importance of a rewarding work environment; hence, we provide:

  • Flexible work schedules to promote work-life balance.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for comprehensive health coverage.
  • Malpractice and life insurance to ensure peace of mind.
  • Opportunities for professional advancement and development.
  • A supportive environment to work with diverse client populations, enriching your professional journey.
Career Growth Opportunities

We value employee development and provide numerous pathways for advancement within our organization. Counselors may have opportunities to pursue further training, leadership roles, or specialized practices that align with their interests and goals.

Why Join Our Team
