Job description

Working Location: Remote (In Canada/Calgary)Contract Type: Contractor or Casual (Flexible hours based on client needs)Are you an experienced payroll professional who enjoys helping businesses stay organized, compliant, and running smoothly? Our consulting firm is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to provide payroll support across multiple client accounts.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems, and processes, and who can confidently support a variety of businesses with payroll administration and compliance needs. You will work with different clients across industries, helping ensure payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in accordance with Canadian payroll requirements.What You'll DoAs a Payroll Coordinator, you will: Process payroll accurately and on schedule for client employees and contractors Review timesheets, hours worked, earnings, deductions, and adjustments to ensure payroll accuracy Support payroll setup and administration for new and existing client accounts Maintain payroll records and employee information within payroll system Assist with payroll reconciliations, reporting, and documentation Respond to payroll-related questions from clients and employees in a professional and timely manner Support year-end payroll activities, including tax slips and related documentation Help ensure compliance with Canadian payroll legislation and best practices Identify payroll process improvements and recommend more efficient workflows where appropriate What You BringExperience:3+ years of experience in payroll coordination, payroll administration, bookkeeping, or a related role OR Equivalent education/training in Payroll, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related fieldThis role is well suited for an experienced payroll professional seeking flexible contract work or someone looking to supplement existing consulting or bookkeeping work.Skills and Attributes: Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Comfortable learning and working across multiple systems and client environments Strong communication and client service skills Ability to work independently and manage deadlines Assets: Experience processing Canadian payroll across multiple provinces Experience with multiple payroll platforms Experience working with small businesses or multiple client accounts Experience in consulting or outsourced service environments What We OfferFlexibility: Remote-first work with flexible hours based on client needs.Variety: Opportunity to support multiple clients across different industries and business stages.Meaningful Impact: Help businesses build stronger payroll processes and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.How to ApplyIf you enjoy supporting businesses through accurate, efficient payroll administration, we'd love to hear from you.
