In this role, you will work remotely, allowing for flexibility in your working conditions. Our hospice center setting is designed to foster a nurturing atmosphere, even in challenging situations, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary resources and support. You will collaborate closely with a diverse team of professionals, including educators and therapists, to provide holistic care to our students. The hours typically span Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts or rotating weekends as required, providing variability that keeps the work dynamic and engaging.

As a Remote Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify mental health needs of students, utilizing evidence-based tools and methodologies.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address the specific mental health concerns of each student, considering their unique emotional and social contexts.
• Providing therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, to encourage emotional regulation and coping strategies.
• Participating in crisis intervention strategies, equipping students with practical tools during times of emotional distress.
• Collaborating effectively with educators, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and case managers to ensure a coordinated approach to care that enhances student outcomes.
• Delivering psychoeducation to families, addressing concerns regarding mental health, and guiding them to available resources.
• Maintaining compliance with legal and ethical documentation standards, ensuring accurate records of treatment encounters and assessments.
• Attending and actively contributing to team meetings and professional development sessions, enhancing your skills and knowledge base.

This role primarily serves students within the special education framework, each facing a variety of challenges related to emotional, behavioral, and developmental disorders. To excel in this position, you must possess:

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, effectively preparing you for the complexities of mental health care.
• A current and valid LCSW license in the state of Georgia, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Two years of post-licensure experience, demonstrating practical proficiency in navigating mental health challenges among youths.
• A thorough understanding of mental health disorders, therapy modalities, and trauma-informed practices.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, showcasing your ability to manage stressful situations with confidence.

Experience working within special education settings, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, and a deep understanding of collaborative, multidisciplinary approaches to care are highly desirable. Candidates who have previously provided therapy for behavioral and emotional disorders will be at an advantage.
