This role is primarily remote, allowing counselors to connect with clients in a safe and comfortable setting. • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' substance abuse history, mental health symptoms, and individual treatment requirements, ensuring an accurate understanding of their unique circumstances.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that effectively address both addiction challenges and any underlying mental health disorders, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.
• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions employing cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI) techniques to facilitate meaningful client interactions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including medical doctors, nurses, and case managers, to provide integrated and holistic care that addresses all aspects of a client's recovery journey.
• Educate family members and caregivers, fostering an environment of understanding and involvement that reinforces the recovery process for clients.
• Maintain up-to-date and confidential records in compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards, ensuring all documentation supports the care provided.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Mindful Healing Counseling Center, you will primarily work with individuals battling substance abuse disorders alongside anxiety, depression, trauma, and other co-occurring mental health conditions. Our client base includes diverse backgrounds and age groups, demanding sensitivity, and adaptability in treatment approaches to support their unique recovery pathways.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated specialized training or experience in addiction counseling and best practices in substance abuse treatment.
• Strong therapeutic skills with the ability to establish rapport and motivate clients effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate efficiently with a multidisciplinary treatment team.

• Experience in a community health clinic or substance abuse treatment setting is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care approaches and evidence-based practices for treating co-occurring disorders.
