This job offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with clients or companies worldwide.

What does a remote web developer do?

Remote web developers work in conjunction with a team to generate online traffic for their clients' products and services by creating eye-catching, efficient websites or web applications. Instead of working in the office, remote web developers complete their projects from home or another location outside of the office with internet connectivity. As a remote web developer, you utilize a client’s specifications to ensure that their website is easy to navigate and user-friendly. You use different programming and coding languages, including SOAP, REST, and other Web Services. You may create a database, an e-commerce website, or a content website, depending on the specifications of your client.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote web developer?

To thrive as a Remote Web Developer, you need strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks, often supported by a degree in computer science or related field. These skills ensure that developers can build robust web applications, collaborate efficiently across locations, and adapt to evolving project needs.

Remote web developers commonly use a mix of communication tools like Slack, Zoom, and project management platforms such as Jira or Trello to stay connected with their teams. Regular stand-up meetings, code reviews, and collaborative documentation are essential to ensure everyone is aligned and project milestones are met. Developers often work closely with designers, product managers, and QA testers, requiring strong written and verbal communication skills to clarify requirements, share progress, and resolve issues efficiently. 6.     Manage and track defects; collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.

7.     Set up and maintain test environments; integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

8.     Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams; participate in requirement reviews and identify quality risks early.

2.     3+ years of software testing experience, preferably in web or internet application environments.

3.     Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, integration testing, etc.).

4.     Proficiency in Python with the ability to write test scripts and automation tools.

5.     Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as pytest, Cypress, or Playwright.

6.     Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, httpx) and testing methodologies.

7.     Experience with defect tracking and collaboration tools (Jira, Notion, Trello).

•       Competitive base salary (range is open and flexible based on candidate caliber).

•       Stock options / token allocation available.

•       Partial compensation in stablecoins (USDT/USDC) can be arranged.

•       Join a well-funded early-stage Web3 startup with significant growth trajectory.
