This is a remote U.S.-based role. We have a strong preference for individuals located in the Eastern or Central time zones to support collaboration with the broader team.

About the role:
  • We are looking for a solutions-focused Director-level attorney. The role reports to the General Counsel.

Responsibilities include:
  • Negotiate agreements with customers.
  • Develop customer-centric solutions to ensure both legal compliance is achieved and internal and external customer needs are satisfied.
  • Supporting business operations and providing direction and counsel regarding compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and staying abreast of laws, legislative developments and developing external trends.

About you:
EDUCATION:
  • Juris Doctorate degree (or equivalent) from an ABA accredited law school Licensed in good standing to practice law in at least one State

EXPERIENCE:
  • 15+ years' experience (10+ prior inhouse counsel experience required)
  • Current member of the bar or able to be admitted to the inhouse counsel bar.
  • Experience negotiating and drafting service agreements, license agreements, subcontracts, marketing agreements, real estate leases, non-disclosure agreements, confidentiality agreements and consulting agreements
  • Experience supporting operations outside of the United States

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully build relationships and work with cross-functional teams. Detail-orientation and ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to deliver in a demanding and entrepreneurial environment in a timely manner.

Axiom's total rewards philosophy is to be transparent and equitable with all job candidates.The annual base salary range for this role is $165,000-$175,000, and you will be eligible to participate in our cash bonus plan which on target would be 25% of your base salary for a Director role in the Legal team.
