Description

SAIC is seeking a Cloud Solutions Architect with hands-on experience spanning full stack application development and cloud engineering.

The position is located in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph to be considered.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participate across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including scope and work estimation, design, documentation, implementation, testing, integration, and sustainment.
  • Design and develop new applications aligned to Sponsor mission requirements.
  • Provide operations and maintenance support for multiple mission tools.
  • Contribute to software architecture decisions and develop solutions to complex design challenges.
  • Develop modern front end applications using current frameworks.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain containerized applications in cloud environments.
  • Manage virtual and physical servers within VMware environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Demonstrated experience architecting and engineering services that integrate multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle).
  • Demonstrated experience installing, configuring and managing compute resources (Linux and Windows VMs), storage (file, object), networking components (VNet, load balancers, firewalls, DNS, VPNs). 
  • Demonstrated experience managing Identity and Access Management. 
  • Demonstrated experience administering databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB) and writing scripts for reporting and automation (SQL, Python) Demonstrated experience performing remote administration and automation using scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell).
  • Demonstrated experience deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Demonstrated experience performing incident management, root cause analysis and troubleshooting for services and users.
  • Demonstrated experience applying system patches and updates for cloud infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring security and compliance scanning, assessment and reporting tools; setting alerts and remediating issues. 
  • Demonstrated experience providing Tier 1-3 solution support, creating service documentation and delivering user training.
  • Demonstrated experience using Jira for issue and task management.

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience creating architecture diagrams (Visio, Draw.IO) and translating requirements into cloud solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering requirements and sequencing solution deployments.
