About the Role:

The Senior Specialist, Business Analysis is an experienced individual contributor responsible for driving business insights and requirements delivery across moderately complex initiatives. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, partnering cross-functionally to translate business needs into scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency and support strategic objectives.

The role is accountable for multiple processes or programs and plays a key role in influencing decisions, identifying optimization opportunities, and ensuring alignment between business, technology, and regulatory requirements. The Senior Specialist collaborates closely with Finance, Risk, IT, and Compliance teams to deliver data-driven solutions that enhance business performance and enable informed decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Specialist, Business Analysis

  • Lead business analysis efforts across multiple initiatives, delivering high-quality requirements and actionable insights
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define business needs and solution approaches
  • Gather, document, and validate detailed business requirements (BRDs, process maps, functional specifications)
  • Analyze business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements in partnership with IT and project teams
  • Support implementation efforts by ensuring alignment between business objectives and delivered solutions
  • Monitor outcomes of implemented solutions and recommend continuous improvements
  • Act as a subject matter resource, providing guidance to less experienced analysts when appropriate
  • Influence stakeholder alignment, timelines, and priorities across initiatives
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to proactively address business challenges

Skills and Experience of the Senior Specialist, Business Analysis

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis or a related discipline
  • Strong expertise in requirements gathering, process mapping, and data analysis
  • Knowledge of financial services products, regulatory environments, and risk management principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, and data visualization tools
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
