Position Overview

Are you a passionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) eager to make a profound impact on individuals facing mental health challenges? Join us at Viewpoint Psychotherapy and Counseling Services, LLC, where you will be an integral part of our mission to provide exceptional care tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients. This full-time remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while engaging deeply in the lives of those seeking recovery and support.

About the Organization

Viewpoint Psychotherapy and Counseling Services, LLC is a leading organization dedicated to improving mental health outcomes through innovative psychotherapy and counseling services. Located in the vibrant community of Valley Stream, New York, our commitment to excellence underscores our reputation as a trusted provider of mental health services. We are focused on delivering evidence-based care to enhance the quality of life for our clients, particularly those in detox settings who are navigating the complexities of recovery.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, offering you the flexibility to manage your work-life balance effectively. Our team is committed to a collaborative approach, where virtual teamwork and communication are paramount. You will be supported by a dedicated network of mental health professionals who share your passion for delivering top-notch care. We utilize cutting-edge technology to facilitate seamless interactions with both clients and colleagues, ensuring you have all necessary resources at your fingertips.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your day-to-day tasks will directly contribute to the recovery and well-being of individuals seeking help at our detox center. Your responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate the mental and emotional well-being of clients, leading to the development of personalized treatment plans that are grounded in evidence-based practices.
  • Implementing therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to guide clients through their healing processes, providing them with tools to cope with their challenges.
  • Maintaining meticulous clinical documentation and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, thereby protecting client confidentiality and upholding professional standards.
  • Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment teamโ€”including psychiatrists, psychologists, and addiction specialistsโ€”to create a holistic approach to each clientโ€™s care.
  • Participating in regular case consultations and peer reviews to foster professional development and enhance the quality of service delivery.
  • Providing educational support for clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment modalities, and local resources to empower them in their recovery journey.
  • Staying abreast of the latest research and trends in the mental health field, applying this knowledge to your practice to ensure effective and progressive treatment solutions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will focus on clients residing within our detox center who are often experiencing complex emotional challenges related to substance use and mental health disorders. This vulnerable population requires a compassionate and skilled clinician who can foster a safe environment for healing. Your efforts will be crucial in guiding these individuals towards stability and a renewed sense of purpose.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required, demonstrating your advanced knowledge and commitment to the field.
  • A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State, showcasing your professional qualifications.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience, ideally involving work with detox or substance abuse treatment populations, will enable you to effectively address client needs.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapy techniques and a strong foundation in solution-based interventions will allow for customized client care.
  • Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport and trusting relationships with clients.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities that will enhance your capability to navigate the complexities faced by your clients.
  • A collaborative spirit, valuing teamwork while contributing to a positive work culture.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of three years of clinical experience is required, candidates with additional specialization in addiction counseling, trauma-informed care, or similar areas will be prioritized. Experience with virtual counseling platforms is a plus, as we seek to leverage technology for better patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

Your hard work and dedication are rewarded with a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000. Along with monetary compensation, we provide comprehensive benefits, including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans to keep you and your family healthy.
  • Life and disability insurance for overall peace of mind.
  • Malpractice insurance for professional confidence and security during practice.
  • Access to an employee assistance program for personal counseling and mental health support.
  • Minimal paperwork responsibilities, allowing you to focus more on client interaction rather than administrative tasks.
  • An opportunity to manage a full caseload, ensuring a rewarding and impactful work schedule.
Career Growth Opportunities

Your professional development is a priority for us. We encourage continued learning, providing avenues for further education, certifications, and leadership training that can enhance your career path within our organization. As we grow, there will be opportunities to take on more significant roles in program development and client care management.

Why Join Our Team
