What is a remote video streaming job?

A remote video streaming job involves working with live or pre-recorded video content that is broadcasted over the internet to viewers. These roles can include positions such as video streaming engineers, technical support specialists, content moderators, or live stream producers, all performed remotely. Responsibilities may include managing streaming platforms, ensuring video quality, troubleshooting technical issues, and sometimes interacting with audiences. With the rise of online learning, entertainment, and virtual events, remote video streaming jobs have become increasingly common and offer flexibility to work from anywhere.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote video streaming specialist?

To thrive as a Remote Video Streaming Specialist, you need expertise in video encoding, streaming protocols, network troubleshooting, and a solid understanding of digital media formats, often supported by a degree in IT, media, or a related field. Familiarity with platforms like OBS Studio, Wirecast, Zoom, and cloud-based CDN services, as well as certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, are typically important. Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and adaptability are crucial soft skills for managing live events and collaborating with remote teams. These skills ensure seamless, high-quality video delivery and effective coordination in dynamic, distributed environments.

What are some common challenges faced by remote video streaming professionals, and how can they be managed?

To manage these challenges, it’s important to have a solid understanding of streaming software, invest in reliable internet and backup solutions, and establish clear communication protocols with your team. Proactively testing equipment and workflows before live events and staying updated on the latest streaming technologies can also help ensure smooth operations.

  • Represent the business in the industry: Build visibility and credibility for Worldpanel by Numerator across the Entertainment on Demand ecosystem. Identify and attend lucrative conferences, networking events, client meetings, and industry forums to create opportunity, deepen relationships, and keep the business close to market trends.
  • Collaborate across the growth engine: Work closely with the Head of Consumer Intelligence, Strategy Manager, broader Global Vertical functions. Ensure prospects receive a joined-up, expert, and commercially compelling experience from first conversation through handover.
  • Manage pipeline and CRM discipline: Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality Salesforce / CRM records, including pipeline activity, opportunity stage, next steps, commercial forecasts, contact mapping, and account intelligence. Bring rigor and transparency to revenue planning and performance tracking.
  • Ensure smooth account transition: During and after close, partner with the Strategy Manager and internal teams to ensure a seamless handover, clear client expectations, and strong foundations for long-term relationship growth, retention, and expansion.

What We Offer:

  • Strong support for career growth, including mentorship programs, leadership training, access to conferences and employee resource groups.
  • Great benefits package including health/vision/dental, Personal Spending Account, unlimited PTO, flexible schedule, 401K matching, travel reimbursement and more.
