Position Overview

The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing SAP systems hosted in a cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environment. This role ensures system reliability, performance, and scalability while leveraging cloud-native tools and services.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Cloud System Administration

  • Manage SAP environments including S/4HANA, Solution Manager, and related systems
  • Partner with cloud providers to optimize performance and availability
  • Use cloud-native monitoring and diagnostic tools

Upgrades & Maintenance

  • Execute system upgrades, enhancement packs, kernel updates, and patches
  • Implement automated patching and maintenance workflows

Performance Optimization

  • Monitor performance using SAP and cloud monitoring tools
  • Optimize scaling, load balancing, and resource utilization

Cloud Infrastructure & Security

  • Maintain secure integrations across cloud and on-prem systems
  • Ensure compliance with IAM, encryption, and security policies
  • Conduct audits and protect sensitive enterprise data

Backup & High Availability

  • Manage HA configurations and disaster recovery strategies
  • Configure automated backup and recovery solutions

Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with SAP support, cloud vendors, and internal teams

Documentation & Training

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

Experience
