We're seeking a highly organized, detail -orientedParalegal in the essential role of
teaming up with our attorneys to managing legal documents, coordinating court filings, investigating facts and records, and ensuring deadlines never slip. Your work directly impacts case outcomes and client relationships.

Stotler Hayes Group, LLC is a nationally recognized healthcare law firm serving long-term care providers across the country. Our team of approximately 50 attorneys, paralegals, and operations professionals is dedicated to helping clients navigate complex legal matters involving Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement, administrative appeals, probate, estate administration, civil litigation, collections, and guardianships.

Our attorneys work remotely from home offices and coworking spaces throughout the United States while our Legal Support and Operations teams collaborate from our Mason, Ohio office to provide seamless support. What You'll Do

  • Draft and prepare legal documents (briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, mortgages, verifications, and authorizations)
  • Investigate facts and public records to support case strategy
  • File documents with courts and administrative bodies, including electronic filing systems
  • Maintain proactive follow-up on appeals, pleadings, verifications, and agency requests
  • Manage attorney and shared office calendars; provide deadline reminders and tracking
  • Communicate regularly with courts, agencies, clients, and internal teams
  • Create and maintain organized virtual document files with proper indexing and filing protocols
  • Draft legal correspondence and manage administrative tasks

You'll work daily with attorneys and team members located across the country, so you should be confident learning new systems, troubleshooting routine technology issues, and finding solutions independently.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with legal or case management software such as Clio (preferred)
  • Experience using Apple/macOS operating systems
  • The ability to quickly learn new software, platforms, and workflows
  • Strong technical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting common hardware, software, and connectivity issues before escalating them
  • Comfort collaborating with remote team members using video conferencing, messaging, and cloud-based applications
  • The ability to adapt to evolving technology and efficiently navigate multiple systems throughout the workday
