About Vogelsang USA

Vogelsang USA is a leading manufacturer of rotary lobe pumps, progressive cavity pumps, grinders, and engineered fluid-handling solutions serving municipal, industrial, agricultural, biogas, transportation, and OEM markets. Our reputation is built on innovation, reliability, and exceptional customer support.

As we continue to expand our aftermarket business, we are seeking a high-potential leader to build, scale, and ultimately own our aftermarket growth strategy across North America.

This is more than a VP role. For the right individual, success in this position can lead to a clear executive leadership path, including consideration for the President role within approximately two years.

The Opportunity

The Vice President of Aftermarket Sales will lead Vogelsang USA’s aftermarket growth strategy, driving revenue through replacement parts, service programs, upgrades, repairs, rebuilds, and lifecycle support offerings.

This executive will work across a unique go-to-market model that includes both independent distribution partners and direct OEM relationships. The ideal candidate understands how to create demand, influence end users, develop distributors, and build sustainable aftermarket programs that increase customer lifetime value.

We are looking for someone who sees aftermarket not as a support function, but as a strategic growth engine.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the North American aftermarket growth strategy.
  • Build multi-year plans to increase parts, service, and upgrade revenue.
  • Identify new aftermarket business models and recurring revenue opportunities.
  • Partner with executive leadership on growth initiatives and succession planning.

Sales & Channel Development

  • Lead aftermarket sales through a network of distributors across multiple industries.
  • Strengthen distributor engagement, accountability, and performance.
  • Develop programs that increase aftermarket penetration within existing accounts.
  • Partner with OEM customers to maximize lifecycle revenue opportunities.
  • Drive adoption of service contracts, preventative maintenance programs, and rebuild offerings.

Customer Growth

  • Improve customer retention and lifetime value.
  • Create data-driven approaches to installed base management.
  • Identify high-value opportunities for upgrades, retrofits, and modernization projects.
  • Establish VOC (Voice of Customer) processes that improve customer experience and aftermarket capture rates.

Team & Organizational Development

  • Build and mentor future leaders within the organization.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, operations, customer service, and product management.
  • Establish KPIs and accountability measures that drive profitable growth.

Requirements

Required Experience

  • 5–8 years of successful aftermarket sales leadership experience.
  • Proven experience selling aftermarket parts, service, repairs, or upgrades for a rotating equipment manufacturer.
  • Experience working through independent distribution channels.
  • Experience selling directly to OEM customers.
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue, margins, and market share.
  • Strong commercial and business-development skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10 overnight trips per month.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with pumps, compressors, blowers, mixers, grinders, gearboxes, motors, or other rotating equipment.
  • Experience building aftermarket programs from the ground up.
  • Experience leading national or regional sales organizations.
  • Exposure to municipal, industrial, wastewater, agriculture, biogas, transportation, or OEM markets.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering degree strongly preferred.
  • MBA is a plus.

Benefits

Who Will Thrive Here

This role is designed for an ambitious leader who wants more than a traditional VP position.

You may be an aftermarket director, regional leader, channel sales executive, or business unit manager who is ready for broader executive responsibility.

The ideal candidate:

  • Thinks like a business owner.
  • Live within 1 hour of our Ravenna, OH office.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing direct reports, with a proven ability to coach, develop, motivate, and hold team members accountable for performance and results.
  • Understands both distribution and OEM sales channels.
  • Enjoys building systems and teams.
  • Is energized by accountability and measurable growth.
  • Wants a visible path to executive leadership.

Career Growth Opportunity

Vogelsang USA believes in developing leaders from within.

This position offers direct exposure to executive decision-making, strategic planning, operational leadership, and company-wide growth initiatives. Exceptional performance in this role can position the successful candidate for advancement into broader executive leadership responsibilities, including consideration for the role of President within approximately two years.

Why Join Vogelsang USA?

  • Lead a high-growth strategic business segment.
  • Work directly with executive leadership.
  • Influence company strategy and future direction.
  • Join an established global manufacturer with a strong reputation for innovation.
  • Opportunity to build a lasting legacy and advance into top executive leadership.

If you’re ready to transform an aftermarket business, lead at an executive level, and accelerate your path toward becoming a company president, we’d like to hear from you.
