We're searching for a highly experienced network and security Solutions Architect to join us. This role involves helping our customers build and sustain protected network infrastructures based on innovation. We're seeking someone who has the soul and passion of an artist combined with an array of deep technical skills. This person must be a highly skilled problem-solver with business knowledge and technological expertise. They will implement strategies, evaluate processes, and build infrastructure that supports customers' changing needs. The day-to-day * Provide oversight of the Antenna Systems Data Products and Services such as the VHR/ Stratus modem products and ViaControl software
* Serve as the sales team's technical subject-matter expert and technical resource for prioritizing SA resources across the accounts when there is a blocking issue. * Identify and assist in developing enhancement opportunities across our customer's enterprise through innovation
* Be our customer's go to resource for security architectures and their integration into an overall network architecture.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with the technical teams of our clients * Develop a deep understanding of our customers problem sets, current solutions, and planned upgrades
* Document and maintain a database of customer scenarios, requirements, and solutions * Work with customers to understand their current and future requirements
* Provide feedback to internal teams including priority on the client's needs and requirements in order to facilitate outstanding products that exceed their expectations. * Assist our customers in the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of classified/secure network solutions that provide core enterprise infrastructure including custom implementations such as private cloud and secure tactical network connections including hub/spoke and mesh architectures
* Communicate with internal team to identify needs, monitor performance, and diagnose and resolve issues with network and systems
* Provide technical oversight and encryption domain expertise for various customer network activities, including upgrades, implementations, and migrations, offering technical direction and user support as needed * Create, update, and maintain documentation of customer use cases and network designs
* Attend regular meetings with clients, contractors, and specialists, and make site visits as need to resolve issues and make recommendations on future upgrades.
* Solve problems for clients by understanding and exceeding their expectations
* Illustrate the value of our secure offerings and solutions to build growth opportunities; compile and analyze data to identify trends * Participate in internal brainstorming, staff meetings, and client meetings; research and assist with network development for existing clients and new prospects
* Follow up with clients regularly to ensure needs are being met and to find opportunities * Identify, analyze, and evaluate mature and transition technologies to satisfy emerging requirements What you'll need * This position is a government position; US Citizenship required
* Ability to obtain/maintain a US TS/SCI clearance; the position requires working on classified/secure government networks.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity, system engineering, network architecture, building, or a similar area
* Ten (10) or more years of experience in government network implementation or government customer support of their networking and/or cybersecurity solutions
* Experience with network infrastructure and hardware
* A technical understanding of satellite communications and RF technology
* Proficiency in interpreting customers' complex requirements and delivering effective, feasible solutions
* Defining business models/cases for new product and service sales
* Preparing presentations and supporting materials for both customers' and internal business reviews
* The ability to travel up to 50% to worldwide locations for up to a week at a time

Salary range $164,000.00 - $259,000.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $204,000.00- $306,000.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
