Your role as an LMFT will include a broad range of responsibilities aimed at fostering client well-being and effective treatment outcomes:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs and create tailored treatment plans based on psychological evaluations and psychosocial factors.
• Engage in regular communication with physicians and healthcare providers to report on patient progress, address concerns, and coordinate care effectively.
• Document all therapy sessions accurately and promptly, including clinical notes and progress updates in accordance with clinic policies to ensure compliance and quality of care.
• Provide individual and family therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to address emotional and behavioral issues.
• Implement crisis intervention tactics when necessary, assessing and treating acute issues as they arise to stabilize clients in distress.
• Consult with family members and support systems to facilitate discharge planning and ongoing support for clients after therapy.

As an LMFT at Safe Ground Behavioral Health, you will work primarily with a diverse range of clients, including adults, adolescents, and families dealing with challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Your focus will be on creating a safe space for clients to express themselves and work towards positive change.

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active LMFT license in the state of Oregon.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient mental health setting.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Proficiency in relevant computer applications, including Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

• Experience with culturally competent practices and sensitivity to diverse populations.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Previous involvement in community outreach or preventative mental health initiatives.
