Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating effectively with physicians and healthcare providers to share patient progress, address concerns, and proactively resolve any potential challenges.
  • Maintaining precise and timely documentation, including clinical assessments and treatment plans, in accordance with departmental policies and compliance standards.
  • Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to formulate comprehensive treatment plans that account for psychosocial assessments and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Providing individual and family counseling, including crisis intervention, to address emotional and behavioral issues faced by clients of varying backgrounds.
  • Engaging with family members and support systems to facilitate effective discharge planning and ensure continuity of care post-treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on a diverse client population, including individuals and families struggling with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and trauma. You will utilize a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's unique needs, promoting improved mental health outcomes and fostering resilience.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Possession of a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • An active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an outpatient mental health setting.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the capacity to manage caseloads independently and efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using technology, including MS Office and telehealth platforms, to ensure effective communication and documentation.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

  • Experience working within a community health clinic environment.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy.
  • Prior involvement in crisis intervention and case management initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits
