This full-time, remote position is designed for a skilled professional eager to make significant contributions to the mental health of individuals and families. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families, ensuring a holistic approach to their mental health needs.
  • Provide individual and family therapy tailored to the specific needs and challenges of each patient, employing various therapeutic techniques and modalities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, including billing, documentation, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans that aim to maintain stable functioning for patients.
  • Create discharge plans that prepare patients for continued success outside of therapy, fostering independence and resilience.
  • Stay abreast of all federal and state laws, as well as Forest Hill Health Care policies and procedures, ensuring compliance in all interactions and documentation.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through training and continuing education to enhance skills and stay current with industry best practices.
  • Participate in case consultations and agency meetings to provide insights, share experiences, and collaborate with colleagues to improve patient care.
  • Fulfill all licensure renewal requirements and mandatory training sessions to maintain professional readiness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse client population, addressing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will engage with individuals and families who may face unique challenges that require a sensitive and tailored therapeutic approach, aiming to foster a supportive therapeutic alliance.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field that meets licensing requirements.
  • Valid licensure as a mental health professional such as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations and understanding of cultural competence.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and digital documentation tools.
  • Previous experience in community health settings is advantageous.
