Who We're Looking For -Reporting totheManager,Accountingwe are seekinga Staff Accountantto participate in the day-to-day operations of theAccountingteam and the month-end close, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, analysis of accounting activity, and managing of financial aspects of the retail business.

Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare journal entries and perform monthly account reconciliations related to cash, revenue, accounts receivable, and other general ledger accounts 
  • Participate in the onboarding of new retail customers andmaintainexisting relationships 
  • Review and approve domestic and international retail invoices; post corresponding payments and credit memos daily 
  • Prepare accounts receivable reconciliations weekly and at month-end 
  • Assistin cash flow forecasting specific to the retail revenue channel 
  • Maintain and record contra revenue and expense accruals 
  • Prepare analyses related to the month-end close and year-end financial statements 
  • Contribute to Accounting team initiatives to implement systems, increase automation, and enhance eciencies 
  • Support communication between the Retail team and Accounting, including directly with the VP of Retail 
  • Assistin reviewing new customer retail agreements by summarizing the key terms andidentifyingpotential accounting considerations 
  • Assistwith quarterly and annual audits and special projects 
  • Assistwith developing andparticipatein maintaining processes, procedures, and internal controls 
  • Other duties as required 
     

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • CPA and/or public accounting experience a plus 
  • 2+ years of experience working in general accounting 
  • Comfortable working in a repetitive process, ensuring accuracy and eciency in a remote environment 
  • Able to work Pacific Time Zone hours 
  • ERP experience (NetSuite preferred) 
  • Basic knowledge of GAAP fundamentals, including accrual accounting concepts 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel 
  • Analytical, data-driven mindset and can apply strategic thinking to problem-solving and drive company goals and outcomes 
  • Consistently manages multiple concurrent priorities and deadlines to work efficiently and prevent last-minute scrambles 
  • Confidently runs meetings of varying size and stakes, setting clear agendas and ensuring outcomes translate into concrete next steps 
  • Reviews work methodically, cross-checking figures and logic to minimize rework and errors downstream
