White Valley Counseling Center is looking for a dedicated and skilled Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor for a full-time remote position. In this vital role, you will engage with clients to assess their mental health and provide tailored therapeutic interventions. You will leverage your expertise to help individuals facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs through interviews and diagnostic tools.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans aligned with clients' goals and clinical needs.
  • Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to facilitate clients' emotional and psychological growth.
  • Monitor and document clients’ progress, adjusting treatment methods as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Provide referrals and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure holistic care for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counselors at White Valley primarily work with a diverse range of individuals dealing with various mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, PTSD, substance use disorders, and attachment issues. We focus on creating a safe and culturally competent environment where clients feel respected and understood. Your ability to connect with a broad spectrum of clients from diverse backgrounds will be essential in providing effective therapy.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and active license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
  • Minimum of four years of clinical experience in mental health counseling.
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and therapeutic best practices.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and the ability to employ inclusive approaches in therapy.
  • Excellent crisis intervention skills and a proven ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
