Job Summary
The Application Specialist - Computed Tomography will provide on-site application education for Computed Tomography (CT), including demonstration, updates and upgrades for standard systems and applications. Successful candidates will demonstrate the characteristics of authenticity and integrity that is needed to build meaningful and lasting relationships with our customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site application education for Computed Tomography (CT), including demonstration, updates and upgrades for standard systems and applications.
  • Provide customer consultancy and support in individual workflow improvements, including having the ability to deliver clinical education, adjustment of system parameters and implementation of new methods and clinical workflows to expand customer portfolio.
  • Provide professional applications support to quickly process and resolve customer complaints; provide remote support when not on-site.
  • Support sales team: product demonstrations, preparation of clinical case studies, presenting images to clinicians/physicians, new products learning and coaching of new recruits.
  • Assist in the development of application training courses to be delivered on-site at a customer location or at the United Imaging Headquarters and Training Center in Houston.
  • Support the R&D/CRM process, including customer needs, issues, as well as provision of troubleshooting know-how and experience.

Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computed Tomography
  • Computed Tomography ARRT Certification

Experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a radiological technologist in a healthcare
  • industry/clinical setting and 3+ years of experience as an application specialist in one specific modality field.
  • CT Cardiac Scanning experience is a plus.

Required Skills or/ Attributes
  • Team player, positive attitude, enjoys working with people, and committed to providing excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in research or case studies involving similar areas is beneficial.

Working Conditions:
Magnetic Environment Exposure:
This position requires working in an environment where strong magnetic fields may be present. Employees may be exposed to powerful magnets, electromagnetic equipment, or other devices that generate magnetic fields.
Risk to Ferrous Metals in the Body:
Due to the nature of the magnetic environment, employees must not wear or carry ferrous metals on their person while in the designated work area. This includes, but is not limited to, metal objects such as steel, iron, and other ferrous materials. Additionally, employees with implants, medical devices, or foreign objects containing ferrous metals within their body (e.g., certain surgical implants, pacemakers, or metal pins) may be at risk and must disclose any such conditions to their supervisor prior to starting work.
