Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs, establishing the groundwork for effective intervention strategies by formulating clinical diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other therapeutic frameworks tailored to client-specific goals.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention for clients undergoing acute mental health challenges, ensuring swift, compassionate, and effective support.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential client records, documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment outcomes in alignment with ethical and legal standards.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare professionals, to develop integrated care plans that enhance the client’s recovery journey.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health best practices, available resources, and pathways to wellness, while advocating for clients’ rights and individual needs.
• Stay informed on advancements in mental health practices through ongoing education, workshops, and training sessions to ensure the highest standard of care is delivered.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve encompass a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families facing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Your empathetic approach and expertise will be pivotal in helping them navigate their emotional landscapes and achieve sustainable mental wellness.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R) in the State of New York.
• Educational requirements include a Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• A minimum of two years of related experience in mental health counseling or therapy.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build therapeutic alliances.
• A self-starter who can work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in a clinical or outpatient setting is advantageous but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
