Position Overview

Union Family Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive mental health evaluations, developing tailored treatment plans, and facilitating both individual and group interventions for our diverse client base. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews with clients, meticulously documenting each case from the initial consultation through the entire treatment continuum.
• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health utilizing standardized assessment tools, and develop individualized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings, to foster healing, growth, and skill development among clients.
• Monitor client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary caregivers, to create comprehensive intervention strategies and ensure cohesive care.
• Provide case management support by following up with physicians for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.
• Identify and address potential barriers to recovery, working to prevent setbacks and promote a supportive environment for clients and their families.
• Educate and assist family members and primary caregivers in managing the mental and behavioral health challenges of their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be engaging with a diverse population, including individuals facing various mental health disorders, emotional distress, and behavioral challenges. Your expertise will be critical in addressing issues spanning from anxiety and depression to more complex conditions influenced by trauma and substance use. Our clients often come from different backgrounds, and your ability to empathize and connect is essential to fostering therapeutic relationships.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proven experience as a mental health counselor with a track record of successful client outcomes.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.
• Familiarity with prevalent physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.
• Understanding of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices as they apply to clinical care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and documentation.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills that facilitate rapport-building with clients and team members alike.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated capacity to conduct therapy in a virtual environment, utilizing telehealth technologies effectively.
• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in a community health setting.
• Knowledge of medication management and its impact on mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits

Our competitive salary range for this position is USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, with the potential for a sign-on bonus. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
