Union Counseling Center is seeking compassionate and skilled Clinical Mental Health Therapists to join our dynamic team. In this full-time remote position, your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality mental health care through telehealth services. You will work collaboratively with patients to address their mental health needs, utilizing evidence-based approaches and therapeutic modalities.

Work Environment

This role is designed for a remote work setting, allowing you the flexibility to provide care from the comfort of your home while using our state-of-the-art telehealth platform. Our practice fosters a collaborative atmosphere where mental health professionals can consult with each other and share insights, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility as needed to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify individual patient needs, crafting personalized treatment plans that align with their goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, tailored to individuals, couples, and families.
• Lead psychoeducational and support groups aimed at fostering community and addressing prevalent mental health issues.
• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Manage crisis interventions effectively during mental health emergencies, offering immediate support to patients in distress.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and available treatment options, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.
• Engage actively in case consultations and team meetings to share knowledge and improve clinical practices.
• Keep abreast of the latest research, trends, and advancements in mental health therapy to continually enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will encompass working with a diverse patient population facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. Understanding cultural, socioeconomic, and unique individualized needs will be essential to providing effective and empathetic care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
• Robust knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment methodologies, with proven experience in developing effective treatment plans.
• Experience delivering individual and group therapies to a range of populations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with clients.
• Demonstrated judgment and a strong ethical compass in clinical practice.
• Technical proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiar with telehealth tools.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years’ experience in a clinical mental health setting.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques.
• Experience in crisis management and intervention strategies.

Compensation and Benefits
