Position Summary:

The NSPIRE Inspection Scheduler is responsible for the effective coordination, scheduling, and communication of property inspections under HUD’s NSPIRE (National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate) protocol. This role ensures timely and efficient planning of inspections across multiple sites while maintaining compliance with HUD regulations and organizational policies.

This position requires a background check to obtain a Public Trust to work with HUD.

This position is remote, but with a preference to those located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule NSPIRE inspections in collaboration with HUD, properties, and inspectors
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inspection logistics, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of dates, times, and requirements
  • Monitor inspection deadlines and track compliance metrics to avoid delays or penalties
  • Maintain accurate and updated inspection calendars and databases using software tools (e.g., Salesforce, Excel, and internal platforms)
  • Communicate professionally with property representatives, HUD staff, and internal departments to minimize disruptions
  • Prepare and distribute relevant inspection notifications and documentation in accordance with NSPIRE protocols
  • Collaborate with inspectors to ensure all necessary documentation, equipment, and access is prepared in advance.
  • Report inspection scheduling issues or conflicts through the appropriate channels
  • Assist in the development of process improvements for inspection planning and scheduling

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in scheduling, administrative support, or compliance coordination.
