Ballard Spahr has an exciting opportunity for an ARC Specialist to join our Administrative Resource Center. Incumbents in this role provide document production, administrative, and clerical support to attorneys, administrative professionals, and support staff across the firm. They demonstrate advanced technical and administrative expertise, take ownership of responsibilities with minimal supervision, and exercise sound judgment and initiative when making decisions within their scope of authority. This position is remote if located in a state with a Ballard presence. Hours for this shift are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST.

Your Role:

As an ARC Specialist within the team, you will:

  • Anticipate and actively respond to needs of the department's clients.

  • Support the firm's overall commitment to providing high quality legal services.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the nature of the work being requested.

  • Prepare and process correspondence and memoranda, as well as complex legal documents according to the requirements set by each practice group.

  • Create and update tables of contents and tables of authorities.

  • Revise legal documents and produce blacklines and track-change comparisons.

  • Convert information to Word, Excel or PowerPoint.

  • Prepare fillable PDF Forms.

  • Prepare merged documents, including letters and labels.

  • Works collaboratively with ARC Specialists in all offices to ensure the highest level of effectiveness and efficiency of work production on a firm-wide basis.

Depending on the practice area, transcription, dictation, and specialized skills may be required, as well as a working knowledge of court systems and procedures.

The targeted salary range for this position is from $55,000 - $65,000, which reflects the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location,
