JD:
• Should have 3-5 years of experience.
• Strong web programming/web scripting skills
• 3+ years as a Roku developer
• Proficiency with BrightScript and Scene Graph Framework:
• Deep understanding of threads in Scene Graph and how to optimize rendezvous between task thread and render thread
• Familiarity with Roku native UI components like rowList, markupList and markupGrid
• Familiarity with Roku Video Node and understanding of how to debug streaming related issues
• Strong Roku debugging skills
• Experience with Test Driven Development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Roku certification checklist and review process
• Familiarity with the Roku developer blog
• Previous experience building applications for other OTT/Smart TV devices.
• Experience performing load tests.
• Experience with the development of Chromecast applications.
