Position Overview

Coastal Light Psychotherapy Center is seeking dedicated and compassionate licensed mental health therapists (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) to join our dynamic and supportive outpatient psychiatric practice. In this full-time remote role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the well-being of our community by providing evidence-based therapy to individuals dealing with a variety of mental health challenges.

Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of a remote setting, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while maintaining a strong connection to our team. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility in scheduling based on patient needs. Despite the remote setting, you will remain engaged with a collaborative workforce that values your expertise and insight as a mental health professional.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify individualized patient needs, formulating and developing tailored treatment plans based on these assessments.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused practices, aimed at improving patients’ mental health outcomes.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational sessions and support groups, creating a safe space for patients to explore their challenges and share their experiences with others facing similar issues.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure holistic patient care, creating comprehensive treatment strategies that enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, offering immediate support and resources to those experiencing acute mental health crises.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.
  • Maintain precise and confidential patient records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
  • Actively participate in weekly case consultations and team meetings to improve care strategies and therapeutic approaches.
  • Remain current with continuing education opportunities, professional development workshops, and the latest research advancements in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population encompasses a diverse array of individuals from various backgrounds who struggle with mental health issues. This includes children, adolescents, adults, and families requiring specialized support. As a therapist, you will have the opportunity to foster meaningful connections with patients, empowering them to navigate their challenges and improve their mental health. Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
  • Deep understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and a commitment to evidence-based practices.
  • Proven experience conducting comprehensive assessments and developing effective treatment strategies.
  • Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy to a diverse spectrum of clients.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building rapport and trust with patients.
  • Strong ethical standards, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and competency in using various digital tools for patient documentation and case management.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, contributing to a holistic approach to patient care.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience within a community health setting or outpatient clinic.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and in a culturally sensitive manner.

Compensation and Benefits
