Duties
Help

• You will perform the normal duties of an Electrician Mechanic.
• You will perform non-supervisory work and directing the work of three or more mechanics of the trade, and/or any additional helpers, workers, and apprentices assigned.
• You will provide general direction on how to perform the work and demonstrate initiative to get the job started.
• You will check the progress of jobs and resolve delays when possible.
• You will train electricians and military technicians in all aspects of the electrical trade.

• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
• This position requires that the selectee be willing and able to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 50 pounds in weight
• This position requires that the selectee have visual acuity and accurate color discrimination.
• This position requires that the selectee be willing and able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
• This position requires that the selectee be willing and able to work onboard ships.
