Duties
Help

• You will evaluate functional readiness, efficiency, effectiveness and initiate appropriate changes for improvement.
• You will review the availability of material, human and physical resources and information relevant to manufacturing and planning for production capabilities and dissemination of result to appropriate officials.
• You will manage department programs to monitor, control and procure industrial plant equipment and facilities to support manufacturing and production functions, including design reviews and budget allocation.
• You will ensure department policies and implemented and carried out.
• You will develop and implement systems to evaluate performance.
• Analyze and monitor planning of alternative production processes or resources necessary to meet alternative production schedules.
• Monitor and provide guidance for the Repair Department training program.

• MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading a combined military and civilian workforce and managing the resources and processes required to successfully plan and execute submarine maintenance availabilities.

PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
