Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of children who are in need of early intervention services.
• Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.
• Monitor and document the progress of enrolled families, ensuring that interventions align with best practices and the child's development.
• Provide education and resources to families, empowering them with strategies to foster their child's growth in a nurturing environment.
• Engage in the use of natural learning environment practices, implementing evidence-based strategies in real-world settings.
• Adhere to all federal and state regulations, ensuring the health and safety of clients and staff.
• Build positive relationships with children and families, fostering a collaborative atmosphere for trust and effective communication.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to support children, particularly infants and toddlers facing disabilities or developmental delays. Your efforts will be aimed at helping these young individuals acquire essential skills that typically emerge in the first three years of life, enhancing their overall quality of life and developmental trajectory.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active LCSW licensure through the appropriate state department.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel for home visits as necessary.
• At least one year of practical experience in early intervention, specifically working with children and their families.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with a commitment to collaborative teamwork.
• Familiarity with Natural Learning Environment Practices and confidence in adapting methods to individual learning styles.
• Fluency in a second language is encouraged but not required.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in hospice settings or with children in a clinical capacity is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability in using evidence-based practices to inform treatment strategies.
• Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
