Job description

Litigation Employment Attorney
Career Consulting Partners has teamed up with a large plaintiff-side litigation law firm with its Headquarters in Glendale and offices in New York, Seattle, Newark, Denver, Portland, and Chicago.
We are looking for an experienced Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of civil litigation experience in Oregon. This role focuses on representing employees in wage and hour disputes, discrimination, FEHA claims, and complex class actions. The ideal candidate will manage active caseloads through all phases of litigation, including high-level discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances.
Key Responsibilities
  • Represent employee clients in state and federal court hearings, oral arguments, mediations, and trial proceedings.
  • Formulate and respond to comprehensive written discovery; prepare for, take, and defend depositions of clients, opposing witnesses, and corporate representatives.
  • Draft pleadings, motions for class certification, oppositions to motions for summary judgment, and appellate briefs.
  • Partner with trial teams to drive strategy across complex wage-and-hour and class action litigation.
  • Travel on occasion for court hearings, depositions, and mediations as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Active license to practice law in Oregon
  • 5+ years of civil litigation experience, with a proven track record in motion practice, depositions, oral advocacy, and discovery management.
  • Prior experience with wage and hour litigation, class actions, and complex civil litigation is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional legal research, persuasive writing skills, courtroom presence, and strong client advocacy.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary Compensation Range: $150,000 - $200,000.00
