Job description

As a Sr. Area Sales Manager, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth, market activation, and customer engagement across your assigned territory. In this role, you will partner closely with dealers, independent door shops, distribution partners, and internal teams to increase product adoption, generate demand, and expand market share.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to dealer partners by providing training, business insights, sales support, and market intelligence that help grow their businesses while strengthening Masonite's position in the market. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, consultative selling capabilities, business acumen, and the ability to influence customer behavior through effective market activation strategies.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Develop and execute territory growth strategies that increase sales, market share, and customer engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, independent door shops, and channel partners throughout the assigned territory.
  • Identify, recruit, onboard, and activate new dealer partners to expand market presence and drive product adoption.
  • Drive demand generation and pull-through sales by influencing product specification, recommendation, and adoption at the local market level.
  • Support dealer partners in expanding product assortment, increasing sell-through, and improving overall business performance.
  • Deliver product training, solution-based selling programs, and value proposition education to dealer sales teams and installers.
  • Support new product launches, promotional programs, and premium product initiatives to increase awareness and conversion.
  • Collaborate with distribution sales teams and other commercial partners to develop coordinated market strategies and maximize growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement, Channel Marketing, Product Management, and Regional Sales teams to align strategies and execution plans.
  • Utilize CRM systems and sales tools to manage opportunities, track customer activity, and measure business performance.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, customer trends, and dealer performance to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Support lead management and opportunity conversion efforts by reinforcing best practices and consistent follow-up processes.
  • Provide dealers with market insights, tools, and resources that help grow their businesses and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Deliver business reviews and sales presentations that communicate performance, opportunities, and growth strategies.
  • Serve as a trusted local market expert and advocate for both customers and the organization.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in direct sales, account management, business development, or a related customer-facing role.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Experience driving sales growth, market development, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to influence customer decisions through consultative and value-based selling approaches.
  • Strong organizational and territory management skills.
  • Ability to analyze market data, customer trends, and business performance to drive decision-making.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 70%.
