Job description

About Clerkie

Clerkie is a fintech startup on a mission to democratize financial wellness using the power of artificial intelligence.

We launched in 2018 with a consumer app designed to support the nearly 123 million underserved Americans navigating debt. Today, we power both sides of the ecosystem — delivering AI-driven financial guidance to borrowers while equipping creditors with cutting-edge B2B software to manage loan losses more effectively.

By pairing consumer experience with enterprise infrastructure, Clerkie is building a network that helps millions get out of debt — while helping financial institutions operate more responsibly.

We're a remote-first team of 40+ employees across four U.S. time zones, backed by $41M in funding (including a $33M Series A in 2023). Investors include Citi Ventures, Left Lane Capital, Wellington Ventures, Flourish Ventures, and Vestigo Ventures.

About the internship

We're hiring a GTM Intern to join our Growth & Go-To-Market team in a part-time role (minimum 20 hours per week). This internship is designed for someone who wants real ownership, meaningful exposure, and room to grow. You won't just "assist" — you'll contribute to live GTM initiatives that directly impact how we build pipeline, sharpen positioning, and scale our revenue engine.

You'll work closely with our Sales Operations Lead, SDR Manager, and cross-functional partners across Product and Leadership to:

  • Strengthen our market intelligence
  • Improve CRM data integrity
  • Support outbound strategy
  • Contribute insights that shape revenue decisions

We are remote-first and also maintain an office in San Francisco. Bay Area candidates are prioritized, and interns are welcome to work from our SF office if desired. While travel is not required, we gather as a team throughout the year and interns are invited to participate when timing aligns.

  • Minimum 20 hours per week
  • At least 10 hours must overlap with core working hours Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm PT
  • Remaining hours can be flexible and structured around your schedule

📊 CRM & Data Excellence

  • Enrich firmographic and contact-level data
  • Standardize key data fields to support GTM decision making
  • Prepare outbound segmentation lists and campaign inputs
📈 GTM Strategy Support
  • Partner with Sales Ops to improve lead quality and routing
  • Assist with reporting and campaign tracking
  • Help synthesize research into actionable recommendations
  • Support messaging experiments and outbound optimization
Here's a snapshot of what the GTM team tackled last month
  • Analyzed historical data to identify outreach trends and refine our top of funnel messaging strategies
  • Analyzed lost-deal data to improve sales funnel throughput
  • Added, cleaned, and enriched hundreds of CRM records targeting new accounts in our market
  • Built executive level GTM reporting dashboards within our CRM
  • Restructured our channel partner pipeline tracking and attribution reporting
  • Supported Sales team attendance at major industry conferences with pre-event ICP scoping and targeting
  • And more! From big wins to team traditions, it's been a month - and we're just getting started 😎
What you'll gain
  • Exposure to how a Series A fintech builds and scales its revenue engine
  • Direct collaboration with Sales Ops, SDR leadership, and cross-functional partners
  • Experience working inside modern CRM and outbound infrastructure
  • Real ownership over research and data-driven initiatives
  • A stronger understanding of fintech, AI applications, and B2B GTM strategy

High-performing interns are considered for expanded responsibilities and longer-term opportunities as the business evolves.
