Associate Copywriter - Spanish/English - San Francisco Bay Area based

This Jr. Bilingual Copywriter will help create Spanish/English language communications across all key media/marketing touchpoints to deliver The Client's message in order to grow & increase Ford customer shopping/Ford dealer showroom traffic in the most persuasive manner possible.

This Jr. Bilingual Copywriter writer must be cognizant of words, cultural nuances, phrases, and implied meanings that may or may not be literally translatable, while providing viable communication solutions.

Innovative ideation and concepts, by this Jr. Bilingual Copywriter will be adapted into finished assets for all key marketing touch points: Digital/Social, Broadcast TV, Print, OOH, Direct Mail & collateral-material. This work will be managed under the direct supervision of a CD/ACD and will work as part of an agency team to achieve client objectives.

This Jr. Bilingual Copywriter will have all the latest, industry-leading resources available, including the use of the most current data & technology to not only pinpoint in-market shoppers more efficiently, but to leverage deeper consumer insights to personalize the messaging and "convert" target to intended action.

In this role you will...

  • Take creative direction and turn work around quickly to meet deadlines, which may require overtime.
  • Work as a team with art director in 'remote', 'in office' and 'at studio' capacity with possible travel.
  • Primary assignments include, but not limited to, automotive retail marketing for regional Ford Dealer Advertising groups, National retail automotive product & event campaigns.
  • Presents creative, validates, and explains cultural nuances in both English and Spanish.
  • Ensures all work is of the highest possible quality and maintains agency's commitment to changing customer behavior through disruptive ideas at all points of contact.
  • Works closely with Account & Production personnel as a team member on assigned accounts.
  • Maintains consistently high standards of Spanish/English Copywriting which will enhance the agency-client relationship and deliver results as defined in the Creative Brief.
  • Helps develop ideas based on input from the CD, ACD, client, Account, research & data.
  • Assures accuracy, completeness and neatness of own copy from initial submission to ACD/CD through final copy and type proofs.
  • Meets copy deadlines or secures advance approval if additional time is needed.

You have...

  • 1-3 years' experience as a full-time copywriter in a full-service advertising agency.
  • A bilingual/multicultural portfolio is required for consideration.
  • Outstanding command of English and Spanish languages with solid writing and grammar skills.
  • Bonus experience with multicultural advertising and focus audiences.
  • Bonus experience across disciplines (Digital/Social, Interactive, TV, Print & direct marketing, etc.)
  • Strong writing and word processing abilities across all advertising disciplines including digital & social media.
  • Strong knowledge of branding and conceptual development.
  • Ability to talk about the ad work and its cultural nuances, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to present and discuss conceptual and tangible ideas, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to listen and understand feedback.
  • Ability to inform and drive synergy across communication platforms.
  • Create and execute ideas in an efficient, organized way.
